December is flying by...

Hey there fellow stampers,

December is going by so fast. However, I must admit, I'm ready for the kids to be on Winter Break and to have a relaxing Jammie Day. Ohhh....I can hear a Jammie and Craft day in my near future! I've had a couple of workshops this month and I wanted to post a couple of pics of the cards we made. Enjoy!

The "Merry and Bright" sentiment is kind of shiny because of the glare from the flash. The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler then heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder.

I really love the colors on this card. The Early Espresso and Marina Mist go so well together. This is a pretty and simple card. It's a great one to use if you are going to mass produce. I just love the bling!

This bottom pic is a package of "Snowman Soup." I don't remember where I got the idea from but I made a few of these this week and gave them away to the guests at the workshops. They are so cute! It's basically a clear cello bag which contains a Hot Chocolate Packet, a Hershey Kiss, a small Candy Cane, and a baggie of small marshmellows (Freeze Dried Snowballs). I cut the Old Olive Card Stock with the Top Note Die cute then embossed it using the Big Shot. Then I wrapped some retired ribbon around the top (to cover the staple) and tied on a little note about the Snowman Soup. My kids saw me making these and got so excited. So, of course I let them enjoy some Snowman Soup too!

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Joyful New Years!

Pics of Holiday Cards

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share a few pics with you. Two of the projects were used at two recent workshops. The other two were just for fun.

I cased this stocking card from another Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I just can't remember which one right now. Sorry. It was simple to make and it's super cute. I used the Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die and the Dear Santa stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog to make this card. If you are looking for a card to easily mass produce, this one is it.
For this card, I used the Rhinestone Jewels, Silver Embossing powder and Decorative Label punch.
For this card, I used the Decorative label and Boho Blossoms punches. The stamp set I used was Merry and Type.
I think this card is too cute. I colored it using blender pens and ink. I used the Polar Party stamp set. The sentiment was embossed with Pewter embossing powder.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Open Craft Night

I hope all of you are having a Fabulous Summer! It seems like it has been a whirlwind. The boys and I have been gone a lot this Summer. It seems like I am constantly trying to "catch up." It will be nice when they go back to school the end of this month. I think I'm more excited than they are.

I've just re-organized my craft room and I'm super excited about it. It is so much more user friendly. I just need to get my husband to hang a few things in here for me. I would do it myself but the power tools needed to get the job done, and I, are not friends. The last time I tried to hang curtains I ended up putting a big hole in the wall. Oooops! It's so funny, my boys (5 &6 yrs old) walked into my craft room and were in shock as to how clean it was. Let's just say, I usually have a few projects I'm working on at one time and I'm not always great about putting stuff away. Ya know, just in case I might need it for another upcoming project. Ha!

As August starts to come to an end, I am finishing up with one last Summer time Stampin' Up gathering. On Tuesday, August 23, 2011 I am having an "Open Craft Night" from 6-10pm. Basically, it's a night for all you new and old papercrafters to come hang out and work on some of your own personal projects. Just bring your cardstock, ink, stamp set, adhesive, etc.. and we can share ideas and inspiration. I will share my punches, stamps and Big Shot with ya. Even if you are a "New" papercrafter or simply curious as to what this stuff is all about, come and check things out. I will get you working on something simple and cute.

The cost is totally FREE! (See......there is no reason for you not to come)

will have some light snacks and beverages for ya. I'm also working on some cute lil' gifts to give the attendees. My brain is overflowing with ideas right now!

Have a Great rest of the week and I hope to see you next Tuesday!

Stampin' Up Convention 2011

I had the glorious opportunity to attend the Stampin' Up Convention this year in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is my 2nd year attending and I was just as blown away this year as the previous year.
There was so much to see and do. I took too many pics to place on my blog so I decided to pick a few of my favorites. These were taken of the " Flirtatious Product Suite." I love the bright and playful colors. It just puts me in a Happy mood. This product suite can be found in the New Idea Book and Catalog that was just released this July (pg.126).

I really liked the fans (in the pic below). They are so cute. I wish I had a spot in my house where I could display something like that (without the kids touching it).

One of the first things we do on the first day of convention is go pick up our bags. At check in, we were handed a Beautiful Black bag with embroidered flowers. I updated my profile pic with one that was taken of me at Convention (holding my black bag). We were also handed a few stamp sets, to place in our bag, and use at our make-n-take session.

By the time Convention was over and I had to pack up my suitcase, I was worried all my FREE stuff would not fit. Luckily I had left some room in my suitcase for all the wonderful stuff I got to take home.

Overall, Convention was amazing and I am looking forward to next year!

Projects

I recently had my first class since we moved to Camarillo. I had a really great time with the ladies. They were so sweet! I made these post it note holders for them. I had so much fun making these. I think it was partially because I knew they would be really excited to receive them. It's hard to see in the pic but I put Dazzling Diamonds on the inside of the flowers too. The top pic shows the holders closed and the bottom is a pic showing you what they look like when they are opened. I can't remember right now where exactly I got the directions for these cute holders. If you really want to know, simply email me and I should have located the info by then. :0) Enjoy your day!

Teacher "Thank You's"

I made these for my son's preschool teachers. I just wanted to share the different options you can do with Stampin' Up products. I took a plain white gift bag and dressed it up with some Designer Series paper, ribbon and stamped cardstock. It's hard to see but the Orange colored flowers are actually heat embossed with Tangerine Tango embossing powder. The gift card holder was simple to make and it turned out pretty cute, I must say. I used velcro w/adhesive to keep the gift card holder closed. On the bottle of flavored soda, I simply wrapped it was DSP and added a small tag and ribbon. I delivered the soda and gift card inside of the gift bag. I hope they liked it!

Thinking of you....

I made this card for my husband. Every once in a while I make and card and send it to my husband at his office. I like to surprise him from time to time to let him know how much I love and appreciate him. He is such a wonderful man and I like to remind him how much I cherish him.
This card was made using the following Stampin' Up supplies:
Summer Splash Stamp Set (Summer Mini)
Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder (Summer Mini)
CS: Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise,Naturals White
Ink: Real Red, Tempting Turqouise,Crumb Cake,Bashful Blue
White Baker's Twine (Summer Mini)
Pewter Build-a-Brad
*I made the clouds by stamping the outer edges of a punched out piece of cardstock from a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle XL punch.

Box to match the card

Here is a little treat tote I made at the last mintue to match the card from the earlier post. It was made using the Bigz XL Fancy Favor with the Big Shot. I also embossed the box (before I folded it) with the textured impressions Vintage Wallpaper. It's kind of hard to see but the Four Frames stamp was stamped with Versamark Pad, covered with White Stampin' Emboss powder then heated up with the Heating tool. It produced a white shiny textured stamped image. I stamped white tissue paper with the key stamp(w/Cherry Cobbler) from the Artistic Etchings stamp set.

The Countdown begins....

I am Officially registered for the Stampin' Up Convention 2011!!! Convention is held in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is an amazing event where Stampin' Up Demonstrators get together and get spoiled and pampered by the Stampin' Up Company. Not only do we get lots of great gifts but we are also educated on the company and how to run an efficient home based business. I love every second of it. There are lots of demonstrations, hundreds of card examples, different examples of products made using Stampin' Up items, games, entertainment, the list goes on and on.....
Today my 6yr old is home sick. I feel so bad for the little guy. Once I picked him up from school yesterday, I saw the look on his face which told me everything I needed to know. He just had such a sad look. He told me he had a headache. Took his temp at home and it was 101. So, today is a lay low day for him.
This morning I made a card using some of the items in this month's Special. Click HERE for more details on the Special.
This is what was used to make the card:
Paper: Not Quite Navy(textured), Cherry Cobbler, Paisley Petals (DSP),Watercolor paper
Ink: Staz On Jet Black, Not Quite Navy,Smooch Spritz(Silver Foil)
Stamps: Four Frames, All You Do
Ribbon: Crochet Trim Victoria, 1/2 seam binding ribbon in Baja Breeze(Occ.Mini Catalog)
Punch: Extra Large Decorative Label
Extras: Trinket Key (Occ.Mini Catalog), Jewels basic pearl
Embossing folder: Text.Impressions Vintage Wallpaper (used w/BigShot)
Enjoy your day!

I'm totally doing the Happy Dance today!

I was just exchanging text messages with my upline, (the Fabulous Alicia), telling her I had just registered for the 2011 Stampin' Up Convention. I am soooo excited. I went with Alicia last year and I was blown away from the very beginning of Convention up the very last second of Convention last year. Alicia and I are heading back to Utah, this Summer, to celebrate with our fellow paper crafters. Let me tell ya....Stampin' Up knows how to throw a party! Really, it's more like a 4 day long party. I was exhausted at the end. I am looking forward to spending time with my crafting pal at Convention this year. So, onto business: As most of you know, I have moved away from Riverside to a Beautiful city called Camarillo. I absolutely love it here. The weather is gorgeous. The people are extremely nice. I've met a group of Moms at my sons Kindergarten who are awesome. I know some of you ladies may be reading this right now. Thank you for welcoming me to the neighborhood. My family and I really appreciate how sweet and welcoming you have all been. :0) I am going to try and get my business out to the neighborhood this month. I am eager to share what I love! I know papercrafting is not for everyone, so if you are not interested, I won't be offended at all....but ......I may try to get to come over for a class or two. Once you make a cute card or scrapbook page, you may be hooked. That's how it all started for me.
Spring is Blossoming

Stampin up is running a special for the month of April (1st- 30th), called Spring is Blossoming. The stamp set is so cute and it coordinates with XL Decorative Label punch. The Paisley Petals Designer paper is full of Vibrant Spring colors. Now, you need to know that these two items are "sneak peek" items. After April (when the Special is over), they will not be available until the New 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog comes out on July 1, 2011.

Details: You can order the Four Frames Stamp Set (clear or wood) and/or the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper with a $20 minimum purchase or get them FREE when you host a $350 workshop (pre tx,SH).

Click HERE and you will be re-directed to my Stampin' Up site to see the Special. You gotta check it out, it's too cute to miss!

I've pre-ordered both the Stamp set and the Paisley Petals paper. I actually have them sitting on my craft table and they are screaming for me to open them. I think Today is the Day! See now, that is one of the benefits to being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, you get to pre-order the new stuff and play with it before it's available to the general public. If you are interested in becoming a Demonstrator or simply have questions about it, feel free to call or email me.

Have a Fabulous Day!!!!

I still cannot believe how fast time has flown this year. My lil' guy will be 5yrs old next month. WOW! I just got him registered for Kindergarten this AM. How weird. I know he will have a blast, just like his big brother.

I'm sitting here in my craft room remembering all the good times I had, with my dear friends, before we moved. It's soooo true....you don't realize what you have until you don't have it anymore. I really miss my dear friends! A note from me to you......make the time to spend with your friends. It could be something like meeting up with a fellow papercrafter (my favorite times) doing what you love, having a cup of coffee, meeting at the park with the kids after school, or even simply just dropping by to say, "Hi." Don't feel like you have to clean your house and get all prettied up, just have a friend over and forget everything else. Nobody cares if you emptied the dishwasher, folded the pile of clothes in the laundry basket, etc. I wish I had invested more time with my friends before I moved. Just know how much I cherish you all even if I'm not in the same city. Just do me a favor and simply love, cherish and respect your dear friendships because you never know what life is going to toss ya.
OK....on to business...HA! I have a couple of cards to share with you. The first two are 3x3 Note cards. They are simple and cute. I made the 3rd card (The black one) for my hubby. I'm going to mail it to him at his work. I am so proud of him and all of the sacrafices he has made for our family. He is a wonderful man!
Enjoy your weekend!!!

New Card Creations

I've recently had a lot of time to do "what I love!" and this is what I came out with. Enjoy!

I made this card and box set to give my girlfriend for her Birthday. I was inspired by the card on pg.10 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I really liked the colors and they are a reflection of my girlfriends natural style.

The stamp sets I used were Punch Potpourri and Afterthoughts (both are hostess, level 1). The punches were Full Heart Punch and Boho Blossoms. The treat box was made using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and Fancy Favor Die (need to use with the Big Shot).

I later filled the box with Chocolate Heart Candies.

I made this card for another girlfriend. I think this shabby chic style totally reflects her style. I used the Framed Tulips Ebossing Folder, a small Beveled Windowpane and First Edition DSP (all items are in the Occasions Mini Catalog).

This card was made with the Bliss Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration catalog), Beautiful Wings Embosslit (use w/Big Shot) and an Antique Brad.

This card was made using the Clearly For You (Occasions Mini Catalog) and Bliss (Sale-a-bration Catalog)Stamp sets, Scallop Trim Border Punch and Designer Label Punch. I also used the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and a Basic Jewel on the top of the crown.

This card was made using the Notes and Details Stamp Set (Occasions Mini Catalog), Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Square Lattice Embssing Folder and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (used w/Big Shot).

The Sale-a-bration has arrived!

This is one of my favorite times of the year, other than Christmas. Every year, Stampin' Up releases a "Sale-a-bration" catalog. New Year with lots to do!

I just checked my Blog and saw my last entry was in September. WOW! I guess I've been a bit busy since then. There have been a lot of changes going on with our Household. We sold our house, in October, which was sooo sad. We also sold our Sailboat. Then we moved into an Apartment. Now, keep in mind, this is all in anticipation of a possible job relocation for my hubby. My hubby starts his new job in a different County this coming Monday. Which means, we have been house hunting for a little bit. I think we found one. Wish us luck!

As far as papercrafting.....I've not done any since I think....September or October. Pretty sad. I went from having my craft room to only taking a small amount of SU stuff with me to the Apartment. I organized my goods about 3 weeks ago but have not found the time (or space) to use it. That is a goal for me right now. I really, really need some craft time! I am definately going to be on a mission this month.

I don't have any photos to share with you at this time. However, once I do....I will make sure to post them.

I do, however, have a Stampin' Up Special to share with you.
