Halloween Treats

Ok...I wasn't going to make Halloween treats for the boys classmates but my good friend (Riki) said she was going to make some for her kids friends......so, I decided I should make some for my boys. I was not sure exactly what to make. I knew I wanted something really, really easy. So....upon searching my many craft idea files (on the computer) I found these cute little spiders. I found the idea at http://papersmiles.blogspot.com/2008/10/punchy-spider.html.

They are really easy to make and very inexpensive. I bought 2 bags of the small York Peppermint Patties (in the Halloween Candy Section) at a local store, using coupons (which saved a couple of bucks). Also, Cardstock is pretty inexpensive, which made these cute little spiders the perfect thing to make.

Craft Room

Well, the Craft Room is now (somewhat) organized. Atleast I can now walk into the room without stepping on stuff. I still have more stuff to organize and put away (not shown in photo). Anyhow, just wanted to share my Craft Space with ya.

Pumpkin Box

Ahhhhh...how cute is this? I got the tutorial from (Becky Roberts at inkingidaho.blogspot.com). The box is about 2 1/2 in/. x 3 in. Iused one sheet of cardstock and had enough leftover to make about 1/2 of another box. I used the following supplies to make the box.

Paper: Pumpkin Pie (SU cardstock), Chocolate Chip and Garden Green (SU textured cardstock)

Ink: Pumpkin Pie and Black

Punch: Wide Oval (SU)

This one was pretty easy to make. Just fill it with some small candy (candy corn, kisses) and it's perfect for a fall gift for a friend!

Two More Boxes

I've made two more boxes using tutorials I've gathered from splitcoaststampers.com. It's a great site to gather ideas for papercrafting and using my SU products.

Stampset: For All You Do
Paper: Whisper White, (In Color-Cardstock) Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo
Ink: (In Color)Bermuda Bay,Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry
Ribbon: 1/2" Striped Grosgain in So Saffron
Brads: Silver

The 3 x 3 Note Card Box was originally done by Laurie Schmidlin at Splitcoaststampers.com. These are the items used to make the box:
Stampset: Enjoy Every Moment
Paper: Chocolate Chip,Summer Sun and the DSP is from a set no longer in the catalog
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Ribbon: 1/2" Striped Grosgrain in So Saffron

I hope you enjoyed checking out the boxes. There is more to come.

Two Boxes

The day after the workshop, my friend (Christina) came over to make some boxes with me. She is absolutely amazing. A true natural at papercrafting.

We made a Milk Carton Box and then I ventured off to make a Pizza Box. The Milk Carton template was from Beate Johns and the Pizza Box template was from Jen del Muro, both at Splitcoaststampers.com.

Projects from September 2009 Workshop

Thank You to all of the wonderful people who attended my "First Workshop." I had a great time! I am currently working on items to make for the next workshop. The October Workshop is going to be focused on Boxes. A few of you told me you would really like to be able to make a box or two to use to house gift cards, etc. for gift giving. Well, I aim to please......so, boxes it is. I will provide more info later.

I've attached photos of the two cards we made at the last workshop. We used the new Stampin' Up (In color) Colors for one of the cards. They are rich and beautiful colors.

The first one used the following:

Stampset:(SU) For All You Do

Paper:(SU) Rich Razzleberry,Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango,Whisper White

Ink: (SU) Old Olive,Soft Suede,Rich Razzleberry,Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango

Accessories: (SU) Ticket Corner Punch

I got the idea for this card from one I spotted on the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers.com. It's hard to see but a couple of the flowers and the butterfly have dimensionals underneath them to make them pop up a little bit.

The second one used the following:

Stampset: (SU) Enjoy Every Moment

Paper: (SU) Old Olive, Summer Sun, Whisper White, (Designer Series Paper: Tall Tales)

Ink: (SU) Chocolate Chip

Accessories: (SU) Silver Brads, So Saffron Ribbon, Photo Corner Punch
I got the idea for this one from one I spotted on the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers.com (#11785). I just changed it up a little bit.

Workshop coming up....

For anyone who is interested, I am hosting my very own, first Stampin' Up workshop in September. Here is some info on it:

Date: Wed., Sept. 9th
Time: 6:30 pm till 9:30pm (or whenever we decide to close up shop)
Location: My house
Cost: Totally FREE

We will be doing 2 "make n' takes." I'm also going to be handing out a door prize, using the completed "door prize" tickets from each person. I'm gonna work on making a few extra things to "give away" at the workshop. Email me, if you have not already, if you are planning on attending. That way I will make sure to have enough supplies on hand for everyone. Also, bring your adhesive (glue stick, double sided tape or tape runner) and scissors.

Future workshops will have a low cost to cover supplies. However, since this is my first one, I'm gonna cover the cost of supplies. :0)

I also have a lot of other ideas (in my brain) which I still need to put on paper or onto this blog. A friend suggested a frequent attendee card. Where, each time you attend one of my workshops, I stamp your card and the 5th one is FREE. Genious! I think we are gonna go with that great idea! I plan on having one workshop a month, at my house, to keep my brain going and keep myself motivated to actually use all of the stuff I have.

I want to make this fun for everyone. So, if you have an idea of something you want to see, let me know and I will make sure to hook it up for ya.

Have a wonderful day!

Baby Shower Favors

These are a couple of baby shower favors I made for my 2 Girlfriends. I got the ideas from Julie Buhler at http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/

Past Projects

Here are a few items I made in the past. They were given as gifts. I used templates from other papercrafters. One was from Lauren Meader at http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ and another was from Becky Roberts at http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/.

Blog for my papercraft creations

Hello Everyone,
This blog was created so I could post and share some of my papercraft ideas, creations and inspirations. I've really enjoyed scrapbooking, making cards, boxes, etc. lately and it is an outlet for me. I've also recently signed up as a Stampin'Up demonstrator (to support my hobby). I will have more time in the near future (when kids go back to school) to post some of my papercraft creations. I am very excited to share with you. Stay posted!
